ALEGORIA is a french project led by IGN - the French Mapping Agency.
It gathers partners having different and interdisciplinary profiles.
Two research laboratories in ICT : LaSTIG of the IGN (French Mapping Agency) and LIRIS of the Ecole Centrale of Lyon
- In charge of the methods for analysis; indexing and geolocalization by visual content and by metadata of the collections.
- In charge of the methods for immersive and iteractive 3D navigation.
Three content providers (producers, GLAM=Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums) : the French National Archives , the Nicéphore Niépce Museum, the photo library of IGN
Providers of iconographic content describing the French territory (several common geographical areas, temporal variety).
Two research laboratories in Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) : LAVUE of the University Paris Ouest Nanterre, LIRSA of the Cnam
- In charge of two use cases in SSH: urban visual sociology and tourism.
